Emergency services were deployed to Huddersfield Road, Wilthorpe, Barnsley, at around 1.30am on Sunday, June 21, but the young couple could not be saved.

Jack, who was driving, and Hannah were both pronounced dead at the scene.

In a heartfelt Facebook post, Hannah’s colleague, Jo Bray, said: “This is one of the hardest posts I’ve ever written, I am lost for words I still cannot believe it is true or make any sense of it.

“Hannah Bananna it has been my pleasure to work with you over the last three years, it will never be the same again without you.

“A beautiful person inside and out, a little terrier when you had something to say.

“You are kind and funny and a bloody good nurse. You will be missed so much by so many. I have so many great memories of you.“Sleep tight Hannah and Jack, have fun up there and keep laughing that infectious laugh bananna. I will try my best to look after your work girls.”

Angela Wheldon added: Hannah was fab, so friendly, so helpful. She will be missed.”
