Tributes paid to ‘caring’ woman with ‘beautiful soul’ after discovery of body in Sheffield

Jessica Hardy, 37, was last seen in the Handsworth area of the city shortly before 9pm on Wednesday, and police said a body believed to be hers has now been found.

Tributes poured in on social media after South Yorkshire Police announced the sad news on Saturday evening.

Anne Worthington commented: “Rest In Eternal Peace sweetheart. Shine bright like a diamond up there.”

Joby Jo Reid wrote: “So sad and so young. Deepest sympathy go to your family and friends at this sad time.”

Kelly Angelique Ryder said: “So saddened by the news. We didn’t spent much time together but you will always leave a lasting impression in my heart. Forever friends. You can now rest in peace.”

Deborah Holland commented: “Jessica fitted mom's sky lovely friendly caring lady such a loss thoughts with family rip LV.”

Terrie Diane Mitchell wrote: “So sorry to read this. Only met you a few times Jessica and we got on like a house on fire your energy was wonderful! How sad. Love to your family.”

Lisa Marie said: “Aw my heart breaks for her and her family. I am so sorry for the loss of Jess and her beautiful soul, may she rest in peace. Thoughts and strength are sent to her family.”

Shane Cook added: “RIP Jess another beautiful soul gone to this world of madness.”

Jessica’s family are currently being supported by specially-trained officers.
