Sheffield's famous pork sandwich firm Beres to open 13th store in city

Sheffield's favourite sandwich pork shop, Beres,has announced that it will be opening its 13th store in June – a year since it last opened a branch within the city.

Announcing the exciting news, owner Richard Beres said the new store will be located at 399 Ecclesall Road.

"We are very excited about it because it's a new area for us...our last branch opening was a year ago when we moved the Pinstone St store to a bigger location,” he said.

"We will be looking for around eight new shop staff and four factory staff.”

Beres Pork Shop has been a city favourite for over five decades, with its popularity seeing it gradually expand.

The first shop was opened in 1961 by husband and wife Sandor and Eileen Beres and predominantly started out as a butchers specialising in pork and beef.

Currently run by their son, Richard, the business saw steady growth as it moved into new areas in Sheffield.
