Singers Harry Holles and Alex Harry from Coventry produced the song and music video, which features independent singers, after they were inspired when celebrities such as Dua Lipa and Biffy Clyro covered the same track last month.

The project which took two weeks to make aims to showcase the UK’s best underground music talent, while raising money for essential workers who are helping to keep the country safe during the pandemic.

Chanel, who has been singing since she was 14, explained why it was so important for her to get involved with the single for NHS staff.

"They're doing so much at the minute and the NHS has been a huge part of my life, they couldn't save my granddad but they helped so much with him being diagnosed with cancer in 2018.

"Without them he obviously wouldn't have lasted half as long as he did when he got diagnosed so the NHS are a huge part of my life and I appreciate them so much,” she added.

The artists recorded and filmed their own individual parts using their personal studio set ups while the country remains in lockdown.

Chanel also released the music video to her self-written song ‘Mama’ during isolation.

The singer-songwriter explained what reaction she hopes people will have to the charity collaboration when it is released later this week.

“I just hope it makes people feel some comfort in these crazy times and it brings some joy to their day”, Chanel said.
