Spence Jr, a reigning welterweight world champion, famously stopped Sheffield boxer Kell Brook in the 11th round of an epic fight at Bramall Lane in May 2017.

Brook tweeted today: “Get well soon champ! Thought are with you and wishing you a full and speedy recovery.”

Pictures emerging in America show a mangled wreck of a vehicle with Dallas Police on the scene.

Police say the driver was taken to hospital in a serious condition, although authorities say he is expected to survive.
