Helping Yorkshire Poundies took in 12-year-old Rosie from a pound when she didn’t have any offers of a forever home.

The charity said the adorable pooch is struggling in its kennels in Rotherham and needs a new home.

In a heartbreaking post, the charity said: “Urgent home needed for 12 year-old Rosie.

“Rosie is another of our new arrivals from the pound, she hadn’t had any offers of help, and we just couldn’t leave her there at her age.

“Rosie is struggling in kennels - she’s started to put the brakes on and refuse to come back into her kennel, which is just heartbreaking, but who can blame her - she shouldn’t be homeless at her age and be having to go into a kennel.

“She is safe with us, but desperately unhappy and we won’t sit back and let her struggle.

“We URGENTLY need a foster home for Rosie ideally with a view to adoption (but not essential).

“Rosie needs a quieter home where she will get plenty of company. O lder children upwards, no cats, possibly a very calm smaller older dog as she just ignores dogs.

“The only time we’ve heard her bark is at a horse - she likes to tell them that she might only be small but she is a terrier after all.

“If you can help us to get this gorgeous little old lady out of kennels, please get in touch ASAP!”
