Patterdales, Lurchers, Spaniels and Staffies are just some of the breeds Thornberry Animal Sanctuary is currently caring for.
The animal charity, based in North Anston, is working hard to find homes for more than a dozen dogs. This includes the incredibly affectionate Hettie the German Shepherd who was sadly found as a stray, playful Barry the Bulldog who needs someone to show him love, and 11-year-old Roxie who needs a cosy retirement home.
If any of the following wonderful dogs catch your eye, make sure to fill out an Animal Enquiry Form on Thornberry’s website.
More of a cat or small furry person? Thornberry Animal Sanctuary also has a number of felines, hamsters and rabbits ready for adoption.

Alli, aged five years old, is a beautiful Cocker Spaniel who would benefit from a family home which is pet free. She very much enjoys people and lots of attention. Alli could live with children aged five and older, but would need a secure garden as part of her adoption.
Harry is only two years old, and has a lot of learn about the luxury of a family home. He enjoys the company of other dogs and could live with another sighthound or as the only pet. Harry doesn’t cope well in busy environments so a quiet home is essential for him. He could live with teens.
Ben is a cheeky little chap, who is very friendly. Ben is only 10 months old and he is looking for his forever home as he really isn’t coping that well in the kennel environment. He will need some basic training implemented to maintain a well behaved pup along with some adventurous walks but also some cosy home comforts. He is a very sweet, affectionate and confident boy who could thrive in a home with another dog that is well mannered, calm and collected. Ben could not live with cats or small furries due to having a naturally high prey drive. Ben could thrive in a home with dog savy children.
Brilliant Bruno is new to Thornberry. He is just over 18 months old and he would benefit from a quiet home. Bruno can be nervous of new people but is often easily won round with a tasty treat. Bruno could live with another well mannered adult dog and children aged 12+. Bruno will require some further basic training including house training so a garden is essential for his adoption.
