The Sheffield animal shelter is looking after many gorgeous pups who need a home.
Thornberry Animal Sanctuary is currently looking after 19 dogs who are all looking for a loving home.
These include the lovely Whiskey, a long-time resident of the sanctuary, Lurcher crossbreed puppy Albus, and Lilly, the cutest French Bulldog cross Pug you've ever seen.
If any of the following wonderful dogs catch your eye, make sure to fill out an Animal Enquiry Form on Thornberry’s website.
11-month-old Peaches has come from a much loved home – sadly the family felt they were unable to manage her energy levels as well as a young child. Thornberry would love this Lurcher to return to a loving family home ASAP - she is very friendly, very fast, and loves to "zoomy". Peaches would benefit from ongoing training and loves to play with other similar sized dogs with a similar playstyle - although can lack manners initially, she is still learning! She could live with children 8+ in a home who have time to manage children and a bouncy girl.
Roxy the Shepherd cross is estimated to be two years old. She is new to Thornberry and still under assessment. Roxy is coming out of her shell more and more each day – she has a gentle temperament and enjoys to be with her favourite carers. She is not very tactile but loves to sit by your side. Roxy will need some on going confidence building when in her new home, a real sweetheart who has huge potential.
Mollie is finding kennel life very stressful and is desperate for a loving home of her own. The 6-year-old Patterdale cross Staffy is a high energy girl and equally intelligent. Mollie loves to run around the shelter's play area and is particularly fond of dog walker Gary. Mollie could live with teenagers – she is best to be the only pet in the household as she is much more of a ‘people’ dog.
Ruby is five years old and had spent several months overlooked in another kennels - Thornberry can’t quite understand why as this Lurcher is fabulously fun and so playful. She loves toys, fusses and is a firm favourite with everyone at Thornberry. She would best suit a home that enjoy lovely long walks. After a walk Ruby will happily entertain herself and go for a snooze. She could live with teenagers 14+ and would benefit from walking friends of a similar size.
