Thornberry Animal Sanctuary is currently looking after 19 dogs who are all looking for a loving home.
These include the lovely Whiskey, a long-time resident of the sanctuary, Lurcher crossbreed puppy Albus, and Lilly, the cutest French Bulldog cross Pug you've ever seen.

2-year-old Tilly is a greyhound who has a lot of learn about the luxury of a family. She is an affectionate girl who enjoys the company of her greyhound friends. She could live with another sighthound or as the only pet and with children aged 12+ She is petite in size, and once she is past her initial nerves, she is lots and lots of fun.
Pluto, a one-year-old Bulldog cross, is a complicated young boy who is has so much potential in the right home. Pluto has shown guarding behaviour both in his previous home and is defensive around his kennel – out and about he is a joy once introduced, and is particularly fond of his favourite kennel hand James. Pluto has lived with another bulldog and could do so again providing they are a good role model for him. He can live with adults only but is housetrained.
Whiskey, a Patterdale cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier, is a complicated little lady who needs a lot of support to help her re-adjust to home living. She needs an adult-only home with experienced dog owners that can work with her to build on her confidence with new people and dogs. She must live in a quiet environment and have a securely fenced garden area of at least 6ft plus. A rural setting is ideal. It is essential that Whiskey has no leaving hours initially, and they must be built up very slowly with realistic expectations that she really struggles to be left alone. The three-year-old is a fantastic little project dog, and has so much potential. She loves to play with her ball and will happily do this for hours.
