Drivers travelling on the M1 in Sheffield this afternoon are experiencing delays, due to a vehicle fire.

The disruption is in place on the M1 southbound between junctions J34 and J33, near to the turn off for the Sheffield Parkway, as a result of the blaze which broke out earlier today (Sunday, August 8).
A spokesperson for National Highways said the event is expected to clear between 3.15pm and 3.30pm.
A return to normal travel conditions is expected during the same time frame.
