Man seriously injured in attack outside Sheffield bar

A man is in hospital this morning with serious head injuries after an attack outside a Sheffield bar.

The 19-year-old was attacked on West Street, close to the Walkabout bar on the corner of Carver Street, at around 3.20am.

A police cordon is in place this morning, with Walkabout sealed off.

South Yorkshire Police said: “Officers were called at around 3.20am this morning after reports that a man had been assaulted on West Street in Sheffield.

“A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious head injuries.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
