Man hit by car on Sheffield street in hospital with ‘injuries to his pelvis and leg’

Police officers investigating a collision in Sheffield are seeking witnesses and anyone with dash cam footage.

A 62-year-old man was injured when he was hit by a black Mercedes as he crossed Main Street, Darnall, at around 6.40pm on Sunday, November 22.

He suffered internal injuries and injuries to his pelvis and leg and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

The driver of the Mercedes, a 29 year-old man, stopped at the scene and is assisting officers with their enquiries.

Officers want to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, has dash cam footage or who saw the Mercedes prior to the collision.

The crash scene was cordoned off for some time after the collision while officers conducted initial enquiries.

Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 845 of November 22, 2020.Dash-cam footage can be submitted via email to [email protected], with the incident number quoted.
