“She has spent years battling the emotional scars and rebuilding her life from the ground up.

“After years of being told she had Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), doctors finally discovered the real cause of her pain -a rare vascular disease affecting both of her legs and her arms.

“The delayed diagnosis meant precious time was lost, and the damage is now irreversible.

“She has now sadly had her leg amputated at 40 years of age.

“No one can truly prepare for hearing those words.

“Not only is she facing the emotional trauma of losing a limb, months of rehabilitation, and learning to walk again with a prosthetic, but she's also at risk of losing the independence that has allowed her to continue helping others.

“Her current car is no longer suitable, and she now needs an automatic vehicle that can be professionally adapted so she can drive safely.

“Without it, everyday life becomes incredibly difficult—attending hospital appointments, maintaining her independence, and continuing the work that has touched so many lives could all become impossible.”

After her ordeal, she founded a not-for-profit Community Interest Company to help other women and families facing the darkest times of their lives.

She also opened a small wellbeing salon where she provides free treatments for domestic abuse survivors.

They added: “She has helped countless women rediscover their confidence, supported families through some of the hardest moments of their lives, and reminded people that kindness still exists.

“Now it's our turn to show her that same kindness.

“Every donation, no matter the amount, will go towards helping her purchase and adapt a suitable vehicle so she can remain independent, continue her recovery, and carry on changing lives

“Let's help give her the independence—and the future—she so deeply deserves.”

Her former partner, footballer Reece Thompson was jailed in 2019 for a brutal assault a year earlier in which he held her captive for three days, attacked her with mirrors and forced her to lick paint off the floor. He also broke her jaw and struck her with an iron bar and a terrifying campaign of torture.
