Incident on Sheaf Street this evening
This was the scene on the main road near Sheffield railway station, this afternoon, after police were sent to deal with an incident.
Pictures show South Yorkshire Police officers and a patrol car on Sheaf Street, at around 5.30pm this evening, appearing to be dealing with a man, pictured in the middle of the road.
They show one officer out of the car speaking to the man, while another gets out of the marked police vehicle, on what is one of the main roads through the city, as part of the inner ring road.
One eye witness described traffic jams forming at the scene, adding traffic was ‘backing up’
South Yorkshire Police have been asked for details of the incident.
