Biker seriously injured in crash that closed Snake Pass between Sheffield and Manchester
Biker seriously injured in latest crash to involve motorbike
A motorcyclist is seriously injured in hospital after the latest crash on the Snake Pass involving a biker.
The road, one of the main routes between Sheffield and Manchester, was closed for over five hours last night after the collision, which also involved a car.

The crash comes just weeks after the tragic death of a Sheffield man, who had also been riding a motorbike, had closed the road following a previous crash.
it also follows the death of a motorcyclist who crashed on the Sheffield Parkway on Monday evening.
Yesterday’s crash happened during rush hour, at 5.25pm, around a mile past the Snake Inn, towards Glossop. Police described the rider’s injuries as serious.
Derbyshire Constabulary told The Star: “The incident occurred at 5.25pm yesterday (July 7) near Lady Clough Moor and saw a collision between a grey Kawasaki EX650 and a blue Skoda Fabia.
“The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 20s from Lincolnshire, suffered serious, but not life-threatening, injuries and remains at hospital receiving treatment.”

They added that the driver of the Skoda, a woman in her 20s, from Derbyshire, stopped at the scene and is helping officers with their enquiries. No arrests have been made in connection with the collision.
The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident and reopened a little after 11pm.
Last month, a man died when his motorbike crashed on the Snake Pass close to the A6013 turn off for Bamford on Saturday June 20.
