Emergency services have issued an ‘avoid the area’ warning, after being called to a South Yorkshire police incident this evening.
South Yorkshire Police are urging the public to avoid Main Street Rotherham, and have issued a statement about the current situation.
Officers said: “Main Street in Rotherham is currently closed due to a concern for safety.
“Emergency services are at the scene. Please avoid the area and plan an alternative route where possible.”
