Dad provides update on teenage daughter's fight for life after collision in Rotherham

The devastated dad of a teenage girl fighting for life in hospital has issued a statement.
Police and paramedics responded and the girl was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene to assist with police enquiries.
On Saturday, October 10, the injured teenager’s dad posted online.
He said: “I don't know how to write this. I've rewritten it about 10 times.
“But as many people have messaged me about it: this is what happened to my daughter, on Thursday morning.
“She's had a very serious operation on her skull to give her the best chance at recovery/healing.
“She's stable, in ICU, with incredible staff looking after her every minute.
“Now we just have to wait and see where things go.
“We've been through shock, anguish, a panic attack (which I've never had, so that was an interesting one), and heartbreak, and I'm now in the numb-but-falling-apart-if-I-stop-and-think-about-it phase.
“We have a long road ahead, and I don't know what will happen, it's just day by day for now.
“Do me a favour: go hug someone you love, when you can.”
Witnesses to the collision should call 101 and quote incident number 176 of October 8, 2026.
