Early hours shop raid
MASKED robbers threatened a convenience store worker with a knife and a screwdriver before making off with cash and cigarettes.
The three men burst into the Spar shop in White Lane, Gleadless, at 4.45am yesterday brandishing the weapons and threatened the assistant.
They stole money and cigarettes before two of them made their escape in the staff member’s black Ford Focus estate car which was later found burnt out and abandoned nearby. The third man left separately with a quantity of money.
