Driver who fled scene of Sheffield road crash arrested by police
The driver of a car who fled the scene of a Sheffield road smash has been detained by police.
Officers were called to Jordanthorpe last night after reports that a vehicle had crashed into another vehicle in the area last night.
Members of Sheffield South West Neighbourhood Police Team announced details of the operation on Twitter.
They said: “B Group along with PCSOs responded to reports of a vehicle that had crashed into another vehicle in the Jordanthorpe area last night.
“The driver quickly left the scene.
“PCSOs and officers located the male a short distance away - driver was detained, enquiries ongoing.”
