Driver rushed to hospital after van overturns on Sheffield street in horror crash

A van driver was taken to hospital after his van overturned and landed on its side in a Sheffield street.

The white Citroen Berlingo flipped on Upper Albert Road, Meersbrook, at 3.40pm yesterday afternoon and emergency services were alerted to check on the condition of the driver and to divert traffic.

South Yorkshire Police said: “Officers attended, alongside Yorkshire Ambulance Service.

“The driver of the van was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

“The van was recovered and Highways England attended to assist with debris and spillages.”
