Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following double shooting in Sheffield

A man has been arrested by police as part of the ongoing investigation into a double shooting in Sheffield.

The 27-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder this morning, January 11, in connection to two firearms discharges in the Manor area last week.

Armed police were deployed to Castledale Croft, on the Woodthorpe estate, at around 8pm on January 6 after shots were fired at a property.

A 42-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man who were inside the property suffered minor injuries.

Shortly afterwards, police received reports of a second gunshot discharge on Prince of Wales Road.

Detectives are still progressing the investigation and are keen to hear from anyone with information or dashcam footage.

Anyone with information should call 101 and quote incident number 790 of January 6.
