Derbyshire police try to trace potentially key witness after two young men die in crash
Ehtisham Hanif, 29, from Sheffield, and Joshua Rosenberg, 18, of Winsford, Cheshire, died in a multiple-vehicle collision on the road just after 9.50pm on Sunday, May 15.

Hide AdPolice said the black BMW Mr Hanif was in had been driving ‘erratically’ before the crash happened.
Mr Rosenberg was driving a white Honda Civic when he was killed.
The men’s inquests were opened at Chesterfield coroners’ court last Thursday.

Hide AdCoroner James Newman said: “Police enquiries are still ongoing and a number of witnesses have come forward.
“However, officers would like to speak to the driver of a small silver car who may not have been aware of the collision but may have been aware of a near-collision with a black BMW which occurred on the A57 at about 9.50pm.
“Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 and refer to incident 732 of May 15.”

Hide AdThree of Mr Hanif’s passengers, Mr Rosenberg’s passenger and the driver of a silver Honda Civic were also injured. Two other vehicles collided following the first crash but nobody was injured in that collision.
The road reopened at 7am the following day after emergency services had cleared the debris.
