Daughter of South Yorkshire murder victim hopes Crimewatch appeal helps identify killer
Detectives investigating the death of 80-year-old Tommy Ward made an appeal for information on the BBC's Crimewatch programme last night to coincide with the 12-month anniversary of the OAP's death.
He suffered a fractured skull in a brutal attack in his home in Salisbury Road, Maltby, Rotherham, in October 2015 and died in February 2016.

Hide AdHis life savings of £30,000, which he kept in a safe, were stolen in the raid.
Last night detectives screened CCTV footage of a car - a Saab 93 - seen turning into Mr Ward's road at around the time it is believed the former soldier was attacked.
It parked up on the street for around 25 minutes before driving off again.
Detectives have not yet traced the driver.
Writing on Facebook after the Crimewatch appeal was aired, Mr Ward's daughter, Jackie Perry, said: "I really hope we get a result from tonight's Crimewatch.

Hide Ad"I am glad they put the photos of the rooms on because we had to go in there nine days later and clean it up. Can you imagine how we felt scrubbing my dad's own blood up.
" It was heartbreaking knowing that some scrum had done this in my dad's own home were he should be safe.
"Please, please if you know anything find it in your heart to come forward and let the police know."
