Woman stabbed in stomach on Sheffield street as couple with ‘Staffie-type dog’ flee from scene

A woman was stabbed in her stomach and a man suffered a wound to his hand in a knife attack in Sheffield.

The 46-year-old woman and 54-year-old man were injured during a disturbance in Sheldon Road, Stocksbridge, just after 8.30pm on Monday, March 2.

South Yorkshire Police said four adults were involved in the incident and officers are keen to trace a man and woman who were walking a black Staffie-type dog and were last seen fleeing towards Olive Road.

The injured man and woman were taken to hospital by ambulance but have since been discharged.

Witnesses or anyone with information or dash cam footage should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 874 of March 2.
