Today, the Sheffield North East neighbourhood policing team, which covers Page Hall, said officers have listened to concerns and ‘acted’.
In a Facebook post the team said: “After a period of engagement and education, fines are now being issued in line with government guidelines in the Page Hall and Lower Firth Park area.
“We've listened to the local residents and have acted.
“A number of fines starting at £200 each have already been issued - know the law, save lives, save money.”

One was handed out to a man who refused to wear a mask in a shop and another was given to a man for repeatedly mixing with people from outside his household.
The force said: “As with all areas of the county, officers’ initial approach in Page Hall was to engage with people and educate them about current restrictions in place.
“With some residents in this area, our officers have worked hard to help them in overcoming potential language barriers and ensuring they understand the changing regulations.
