As part of the operation a vehicle ‘linked to serious crime’ in another police force area was spotted, the car was stopped and an arrest was made.

South Yorkshire Police said: “We identified a host of offences including defective tyres, using a mobile phone whilst driving and even one arrest for driving whilst over the prescribed limit.

“Vehicle-enabled crime is something which we are focusing more and more.
