Vandals attack popular Sheffield restaurant after smashing windows with rocks

A popular Sheffield restaurant has been targeted by vandals, who used rocks to smash a number of windows.

Police were called to Nonna’s on Ecclesall Road yesterday morning, Sunday, March 1, at around 5.50am.

Officers found several rocks at the scene which had been used to smash the glass, and South Yorkshire Police said enquiries are ongoing.

The Italian restaurant opened in 1996 and has become a Sheffield institution, winning a coveted AA Rosette and counting Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone among its diners.
