Two stolen motorbikes found in Sheffield estate

Two stolen motorcycles were recovered from a Sheffield estate on Friday.

Sheffield South East Neighbourhood Police Team said both bikes were located on the Richmond Park estate on two separate occasions.

On a Facebook post, they said: "Stolen motorbike recovered from Richmond Park Estate this morning.

"Following a visit from our SOCO officers, it will be returned to its rightful owner."

Later, they wrote: "You wait all day and two come along at once.

"For the second time today our neighbourhood PCSO's have been on the Richmond Park estate to recover another found stolen motorcycle. Recovered for CSI examination."

Those who have reported their vehicle as stolen and then found by the police, they will arrange for a local recovery agent to collect and store the vehicle.

This helps to protect the vehicle and reduce the risk to road users if the vehicle has become dangerous to drive.

A forensic examination of the vehicle may also take place, in an effort to identify offenders.
