Sheffield police issue Covid fines but no arrests made after Page Hall brawl between around 20 youths

Officers were deployed to the city suburb after bobbies patrolling the streets spotted a group of youths fighting around 4pm yesterday.

Violence broke out in the Owler Lane and Rushby Street area.

South Yorkshire Police said: “Whilst on routine patrols in the Page Hall area yesterday, officers from the local police team identified a fight taking place between a group of youths at around 4pm.

“The group of around 20 people was dispersed by officers.

“Two people were reported to have suffered minor injuries.

“No weapons were used.”

The force added: “No arrests were made, but one juvenile was referred to the youth offending service as a result of the incident. A number of Covid fixed penalty notices were also issued.”
