Two men taken to hospital after latest Sheffield shooting

Detectives in Sheffield are investigating following a reported shooting in the Woodhouse area of Sheffield last night.

At around 10.40pm on Friday, March 5, police were called to Ashpool Close in Woodhouse following reports of a shooting.

On arrival, officers discovered two men with injuries consistent with a shotgun discharge. They were both taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police say no arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

There will be an increased police presence in the area today and throughout the weekend as investigations continue.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may hold information which might help the investigation, particularly anyone who may have CCTV footage.
