Two arrested over murder of man shot dead in Sheffield

Two arrests have been made over the murder of a man shot dead in Sheffield.

Ramey Salem, aged 20, was gunned down in a house in Grimesthorpe Road South, Burngreave, at around 1am on Monday, November 16.

He was taken to hospital with multiple gunshot wounds but could not be saved and was pronounced dead a short time later.

A 21-year-old Sheffield man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and a 33-year-old Sheffield man has been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice in connection with the investigation.

Both men were arrested this morning and remain in police custody.

Detectives investigating the shooting are treating it as an ‘isolated’ incident.

It is not being linked with a fatal stabbing in Sheffield the day before.
