Three men and woman in court after drug gangs operation in Sheffield

Three men and a woman appeared in court yesterday after police mounted an operation to tackle Sheffield drug gangs.

They were among 19 people arrested over two days over the supply of Class A drugs.

Police officers raided homes in the culmination of a six month operation and seized £25,000 in cash, class A drugs, a firearm, ammunition, a crossbow and an air rifle.

Joel Norman, aged 19, of Bowden Wood Avenue, Darnall has been charged with eight counts of supplying class A drugs.

Leroy Sheldon, 44, of Sheffield Lane, Rotherham, has been charged with eight counts of supplying class A drugs, four counts of disqualified driving and four counts of driving without insurance.

Regen Dempsey, 22 of Manor Oaks Gardens, Wybourn, has been charged with 12 counts of supplying class A drugs, one count of possessing criminal property and one count of possessing cannabis.

Courtney Wild, 24, of Derby Street, Heeley, has been charged with six counts of supplying class A drugs.
