Teenager due in court over murder of dad-of-two in Sheffield

A teenage boy is due in court today accused of the murder of a dad-of-two in Sheffield.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of murdering 35-year-old Marcus Ramsay in a disturbance in Horninglow Road, Firth Park, on Saturday, August 8.

Mr Ramsay, a dad-of-two, was taken to hospital with a stab wound to his chest but could not be saved and died a short time later.

The suspect due at Sheffield Crown Court today was arrested last week and charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

Another 17-year-old, who also cannot be named for legal reasons, is also charged with murder.

He too is remanded in custody after being arrested and quizzed earlier in the police probe into the death.

Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident 18 of August 8.
