A man has been taken to hospital with gunshot and knife wound injuries after an attack in broad daylight.

Police are currently in the Clough Road area of Rotherham after reports that a man in his 20s had suffered gunshot and knife injuries.
Officers received a report at around 2.05pm from ambulance staff.
He has been taken to hospital for treatment.
Police are in the area carrying out enquiries and an investigation is in its very early stages.
