Police have discovered suspected cannabis plants in an abandoned church near Sheffield.

Derbyshire Constabulary said officers were called to a disused church on Street, Killamarsh, following reports of a disturbance at around 11.30pm on Monday, January 24.

They found damage had been caused to the doors of the property, and suspected cannabis plants were located inside.

The police force said: “Enquiries are currently ongoing, and officers will be in the area for some time.”

Anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage should call 101.
