South Yorkshire Police charge men over knifepoint robbery in park

Two men have been charged over a knifepoint robbery in a South Yorkshire park.

Benjamin White, aged 33, and Mason Reside, 21, are accused of threatening a man with a knife before stealing his quad bike in Burgoyne Park, Aston, at 6.15pm on Tuesday, May 19.

White, of Catherine Avenue, Swallownest, has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon in public.

Reside, of Lovetot Avenue, Aston, has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon in public and robbery.

White has also been charged with aggravated vehicle taking and vehicle damage following an incident in Rotherham on January 12.

And he is accused of assault occasioning them actual bodily harm following an incident on April 24 in Rotherham.

The pair have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Sheffield Magistrates’ today in connection with all the incidents.
