Shocking moment youths steal huge TV after breaking into house on Page Hall estate
Brazen burglars were filmed stealing a television from a house in a Sheffield street in broad daylight.
Two crooks pulled up a chair outside the downstairs window of a terraced house and one climbed through a small opening into what is believed to have been the lounge, while the other stood guard.
A television was then passed through the opening before the man inside the house climbed back out.
The two thieves then carried the television away in a raid which was filmed by a neighbour on a mobile phone and shared online.
South Yorkshire Police said an investigation into the incident on Popple Street, Page, Hall, has been launched.
The force was alerted to the raid yesterday morning.
In a statement today, South Yorkshire Police said: “Police received a call at around 8.45am yesterday from a third party reporting a burglary on Popple Street in Sheffield.“Officers attended the scene and secured the property. Enquiries are ongoing.”
