Sheffield United star Lys Mousset charged over Lamborghini supercar smash

Sheffield United player Lys Mousset has been charged over a crash in which his £300,000 supercar was destroyed.

The orange Lamborghini Aventador was involved in a collision on Abbeydale Road South, Sheffield, on Monday, January 4.

Emergency services were alerted to the smash just after midnight and found that a number of parked vehicles had been hit.

The badly damaged Lamborghini, which had one of its sides torn off in the collision, came to a halt in the middle of the road, with fuel and oil pouring from the car.

Sheffield United striker Mousset, who lives in nearby Dore, was arrested after the crash and has now been charged.

He is accused of driving without due care and attention and failing to stop after a road traffic collision.

The footballer is due to appear in court over the incident in June.

Frenchman Mousset signed for the Blades for £10 million last summer.
