Sheffield police team uncovers huge haul of cannabis plants in 21st drug bust of the year

Officers made two arrests at the scene when they raided a property in Lytton Crescent, Parson Cross, and found 28 cannabis plants inside.
It was the team’s 21st drug raid of the year so far, with officers warning of another planned.

Hide AdIn a Facebook post, the Parson Cross team said: “We all have a role to play in keeping our local areas safe from drug-related crime which can have a negative impact on our communities and we will continue to pursue those individuals responsible.
“The team has now executed 21 drugs warrants so far this year in our community and seized thousands of pounds of illegal drugs.
“As a team we are often met with the response cannabis production is not a serious crime, but this is simply not true. Large-scale grows like this one are very often linked to violent organised crime groups and in some cases serious offences like human trafficking and modern slavery.
“Local residents are often best placed to see on a daily basis whether their neighbours are behaving suspiciously and could be in possession of, cultivating or supplying drugs in their homes.
