Jerone Thompson, aged 23, of Halifax Road, Wadsley Bridge, was arrested in Rotherham after being caught dealing heroin and cocaine close to Wharncliffe flats in the town centre in March.

Thompson claimed the drugs were for his personal use but a police probe proved otherwise and he was convicted of the offences last week and jailed for 40 months.

Thompson was 15 at the time of the offence but the judge who jailed him said he should be named.

The woman chased him to a nearby wooded area on the Ponderosa recreation area, where she was raped.
