Devon Gregory, aged 25, from Heeley, was arrested in the park on Wednesday night.

Extra police patrols have been ordered in the park this week in response to huge crowds gathering there on Tuesday as groups met to take advantage of the easing of lockdown restrictions and soaring temperatures.

Gregory has been bailed and is due to appear in court on August 13.
