Mohammed Junaid Maroof, 24, of Edgedale Road, Nether Edge, was arrested on August 5 and subsequently charged.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “The charges relate to an incident in Sheffield on August 5 where a firearm was recovered.”

Maroof appeared before Shefffield Magistrates’ Court today and has been remanded into custody.
