Sheffield funeral director to open knife drop-off point after another fatal stabbing

Michael Fogg, who runs a funeral business – Michael Fogg Family Funeral Directors – with his wife and family, said the drop-off point will open on Monday (March 9) with a ‘no questions asked’ policy.
The latest victim’s loved ones have paid tribute to him.
South Yorkshire Police confirmed on Saturday (March 7) that a murder investigation is underway following the incident. No information regarding arrests has been released at this stage.
On the murder, Michael said: “This madness has to stop.”
Posting on Facebook, he wrote: “We are the local family funeral directors and this is our community. I grew up in this community and I’m privileged to be a member of it.
“Just last Tuesday we conducted the funeral of an amazing young man just 19 years old who was also murdered by knife crime.
“I have decided that on Monday our funeral home will now be a drop-off point for any knives. A box will be in our reception and no questions asked. Our thoughts are with this lads family and friends.”
Michael Fogg Family Funeral Directors is based at 27 to 29 Woodhouse Road.
