Police were called to a shooting which saw a gun fired at a house on Swanbourne Road, also near Barnsley Road at 4.31am and shortly after, at 4.42am, to the report of a shooting at another house, on Horninglow Road.

Police believe both the shootings were done by two people who were on an electric-style bike.

“This is the second time this week that we are responding to reports of a firearms discharge in Sheffield, and we simply cannot go on like this.
“We need the support of the public, we need you to report anything you think you might know about serious crime so that we can thoroughly investigate.

“If you suspect someone is in possession of an illegal firearm, tell us so that we can take action before the weapon is used.
