Probe launched following break-in at Sheffield store

Police are hunting down a man following reports of a break-in at a Sheffield shop in the early hours of Thursday morning.

South Yorkshire Police said officers were called to the Priceless Discount Store on Crookes High Street at 12.21am this morning (March 18).

It is reported that a glass door at the shop was smashed with a paving slab by a man, described as being around 5ft 5ins tall, wearing a blue and black hoodie.

The man managed to escape with a number of items from the store.

An investigation has now been launched, and police urged those with information to call 101 quoting incident number 017 of 18 March 2021.
