Spaniel Willow recovered cash believed to be the proceeds of crime after she was deployed to help officers from the Darnall and Tinsley neighbourhood team conduct search warrants.

Malinois Jooba helped locate a number of suspects wanted for questioning this week, with the search dog deployed on one occasion to find the driver of a stolen car who fled after abandoning the vehicle during a police chase.

The police pursuit continued and the car was then followed back into West Yorkshire.

When the Golf was abandoned, the driver – who turned out to be a Barnsley youth – fled but was tracked down by Jooba while a police helicopter and another police dog from West Yorkshire rounded up his passengers.

That same day, Jooba was deployed when another vehicle followed by officers from the Sheffield Parkway was abandoned and the driver fled.
