Police seal off Sheffield road as 'loud bang' heard

Residents reported hearing a ‘loud bang’ before police sealed off a road in Sheffield.

They say police vehicles descended on Cammell Road, Firth Park at around 12.30am this morning (Saturday, July 18) and ‘blocked the road’ after a ‘loud bang’ was heard.

A police helicopter was also spotted circling overhead.

According to witnesses, the road was still taped off at 5.30am this morning.
