It is believed that three men entered Costcutter in Fife Street at 6.15am, and one of them appeared to be in possession of a rifle-type gun.

The man is said to have ordered the shop assistant to get on the floor and demanded they hand over the safe keys.

On saying he didn't have them, he was then told to hand over his wallet, which was subsequently taken from him.

At the same time, the other two men allegedly attempted to open the till but failed to do so.

They then proceeded to steal a number of items behind the counter.

South Yorkshire Police, in a statement, said: "Detectives are now appealing to anyone who may have seen the men pictured and around Fife Street on Sunday morning.
