Police release CCTV image of man in theft probe in Sheffield

Police officers investigating a theft in Sheffield last month have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to.

In a statement, South Yorkshire Police said: “It is reported that at around 7am on November 9, an unknown man entered the Costcutter store on St Mary’s Road and stole a bottle of beer.

“He returned a short time later, stealing tobacco and attempting to take money from the till before being disturbed by a member of staff.

Officers would like to speak to the man pictured, as they believe he might have information about what happened.”
