Police probe into 'unexplained' death of Sheffield woman continues after murder arrest

An investigation into the ‘unexplained’ death of a Sheffield woman is continuing.

It was launched after a 38-year-old woman was found dead in a house on Southey Avenue, Southey, on Wednesday, December 30.

A post mortem examination was unable to determine a cause of death, with it described by South Yorkshire Police as ‘unexplained’.

A 64-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder was released under investigation as enquiries continues.

South Yorkshire Police said: “Enquiries ongoing to ascertain the woman’s cause of death and it remains unexplained.”
